Theseus I
Theseus I was the first iteration of the Theseus program and was the first UQ Space entry into the Australian Rover Challenge in 2022, making UQ Space the only student aerospace team in Australia to compete in both rocketry and rover competitions.
Theseus I was the first iteration of the UQ Space rover and as such many components were largely novel for the team. The team’s rigorous systems engineering approach resulted in a robust platform upon which future iterations could be built. Due to the large number of unknowns for the team, significant time was spent on simulations and analyses to ensure the rover would function as intended during the tasks.
